This is a work in progress. Land surveyors are typically instructed on boundary law using standard national texts such as Brown' Boundary Control and Legal Principals or Clark on Surveying and Boundaries. I prepared this summary of terms & definitions relating to Alaskan boundaries and rights-of-way from the decisions of the Alaska Supreme Court. As I mentioned in my paper "No Boundaries", not only is Alaska a young state but we have very few cases relating to boundaries that have made it to our Supreme Court for review.
The summary is dated October 16, 2022 which is the last date that I entered new terms. My intention is to periodically update it as more cases become available. The last document in the list below was an experiment to determine common text or individual references relating to boundaries and ROW in Alaska cases. For example, a search of "Jon W. Bruce" who is a co-author of the text The Law of Easements and Licenses in Land had 14 hits. This suggests that it might be a beneficial text to have in your library.
